Intuition vs Anxiety - how to tell the difference.

Intuition vs. Anxiety: How to Tell the Difference

We’ve all been there - feeling that uneasy nudge and wondering, Is this my intuition speaking, or is it anxiety in disguise? It’s a tricky distinction because they can feel eerily similar, like twins wearing different hats.

Here’s a quick way to start sorting them out:

  • Anxiety often feels urgent and fear-driven, with a sense of dread tagging along.
  • Intuition, on the other hand, is quieter—calm, grounded, and steady.

When we’re unsure, the best thing we can do is pause and breathe. Ask ourselves, Is this fear-based, or does it carry a sense of peace and clarity?

Journaling is a powerful tool for unraveling these feelings over time. By putting thoughts to paper, patterns start to emerge, and we begin to understand which voice is which.

It takes practice, but the more we tune in, the better we get at trusting ourselves.

Have you used journaling before to help you? Has it worked? I find if I don't do a few minutes of writing a day to get the yaya's out (as my mother calls them) I have a hard time getting anything done. My brain won't stop!

Much love to you!
